I am Janee’ V. Henderson, a mental health therapist by day and a homegirl by night. I would describe myself as a midwestern girl that brings big city energy. I’m a proud HBCU grad, shout out to Hampton University.
I pride myself in being well versed in the lasted pop culture references but also psychological techniques that promote healing and change.
The Hey Girl! Are you really okay? Journal was inspired by my love for women like myself and my passion to see them achieve healing, wholeness, and healthy relationships. I was all too familiar with grind culture and the unrealistic demands of society. I remember what it is like to push yourself to the brink of the edge and still be expected to get up the next day to do it all over again.
Now, I practice saying no! I have redefined the meaning of strength. I chose to be kind to myself daily in thoughts and in action. If you are not in this place yet, don’t worry, it takes time and consistent practice. However, this guided journal will help you start the journey of taking a deeper look at yourself and creating the life you want. It all begins by asking yourself the question…. are you really okay?

This beautifully written guided journal gives you the questions that make you really sit down and think the answers through. It starts out getting you relaxed and in the right headspace and page by page gets you focusing on things you wouldn’t sit down to work through or think about. Such a good self care tool. It will make you smile, cry and laugh! I would definitely recommend!
This journal is AMAZING! You can definitely see the work that went into writing this. When I’m having a “day” I often go back and read her questions and the answers I wrote. It gives lots of encouragement to simply love myself again and really be okay! Thanks for this!!!!!
This journal is an eye opener. You will need to sit by yourself and read it. Then have that hard conversation with yourself. When I say it makes you take an inventory about YOU! You might cry because how the truth comes out as you write. It's ok, but it helps you to grow and take the steps to make YOURSELF important. This is an awesome gift to give to a soon to be bride/wife. It a great gift to give to someone who just moved into their new home. It's an awesome gift to give to the new graduate that is on their way to college. Just Awesome.
