I don’t know what your struggle is, and I recognize everybody has a different story. What I do know is that continuous struggles can wear down even the strongest person over time. Hey girl! I’m Janee’ V. Henderson, a licensed professional counselor by day and a homegirl by night. I’m a midwestern girl with big city dreams and goals.

I love spending time with my family and friends, traveling, listening to audiobooks, laughing, and shopping (although I am working on that last one). I’m a proud HBCU grad, shout out to Hampton University, and a future psychologist in the making. I pride myself in being well versed in the lasted pop culture references but also psychological techniques to promote healing and change. 

This journal was inspired by my love for women like myself and my passion to see them achieve healing, wholeness, and to have healthy relationships. I am all too familiar with grind culture and the unrealistic demands of society. I remember what it’s like to push yourself to the brink of the edge and still be expected to get up the next day to do it all over again. Now, I practice saying no, I have redefined strength, and choose to be kind to myself in thoughts and in action. 

If you are not in this place yet, don’t worry, it takes time and consistent practice. However, this guided journal will help you start the journey of taking a deeper look at yourself and creating the life you want. It all begins by asking yourself the question….. are you really okay?
